Students love me

This student named me as the most significant influence in the educational success she experienced while in the International Baccalaureate Program at Poudre High School. In her own words, "I can trace my roots of art back to Riffenburgh Elementary with Ms. Caywood. I looked up to and was more inspired by her than any other teacher." - Maggie

About

Creative, accomplished and successful K-12 certified art educator with fifteen years of teaching experience. I have a BFA in Art with a concentration in Drawing from Colorado State University, studied Art Education at Penn State University, and received my Masters in Art and Design from the University of Northern Colorado.

My goal is to positively influence students through sharing my passion for art, and encouraging the art experience to go beyond the school walls to impact the community.

In addition to being creative, I love spending time outdoors. You can find me climbing, skiing, swimming, biking, or trail running. Summiting mountains with my husband Chad and our pup Logan, and competing in Ironman distance triathlons with my dad, keeps me living life to the fullest. I share my active lifestyle with students by coaching Cross Country and previously leading the Climbing Club.
